Who We Are
Bhartiya Legal Support Foundation (BLSF), formerly known as the Bhartiya Society for Socio-Economic Development in Global Arena, is a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882. Founded by Mr. Alok Sinha, a practising Advocate in the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, BLSF was born out of a simple but powerful observation: Indians across the world carry a deep, steadfast bond of love for their motherland, yet this bond is rarely recognized or given its due importance.
NRIs and PIOs who wish to stay connected to India are often held back by legal hurdles, a lack of representation, and the absence of any trustworthy platform to voice their concerns. BLSF exists to change that — serving as the bridge between the global Indian diaspora and the country they still call home.
Our Mission
Our mission is to synchronize and concentrate the efforts of our members towards the betterment of India’s socio-economic conditions, while uniting NRIs and PIOs under one strong, common platform. We believe Indians abroad constitute a powerful force — through their investments, remittances, and enduring goodwill — and that this force deserves a stronger voice and better support. We are committed to removing the legal and structural barriers that keep NRIs distant from their roots, and to encouraging the flow of trade and foreign investment into India with the same urgency the nation shows its future generations.
What We Do
BLSF works across multiple fronts to bring this mission to life. We provide complimentary legal advice and concessional legal support to NRIs and senior citizens through our network of ASC Solicitors and Advocates, covering everything from property disputes and repatriation to succession, taxation, and matrimonial matters. We organize high-level national and international conferences and seminars that simplify Indian law for investors, ease their apprehensions, and open doors to genuine opportunity. Through our quarterly publication, Eyelid – Global India, we keep the diaspora informed on legal developments, investment prospects, and news from home. We represent our members’ interests before the Government of India and other authorities, ensuring their voice is heard where it matters. And beyond legal and institutional work, we remain committed to philanthropy because uniting our people also means caring for those who need it most.
